Summary: Describes the experience of appearing on a European televison gameshow.
I had my Saturday night all planned. The girls and I were heading out for a pizza and then onto the cinema to see the latest Hollywood blockbuster. I should have known that when I was really looking forward to the evening that something was bound to go wrong. It started to snow mid afternoon and I was stranded up a country lane with nothing to look forward to, except a night in front of the box. Great!

I settled into watching the usual Saturday evening T.V. programmes. Then `Winning Streak', my parents' favourite game show, began, they loved the presenter, Derek Mooney. I remembered that my grandmother had bought me some scratch cards for my birthday two weeks previously.
