Summary: Describes how to teach someone to play pool. Examines what skills are required to be a good pool player.
Each day more people are becoming interested in playing pool. They find it is rather difficult to learn. However people are quitting because they don't take the time to learn the basics. To be a good pool player one must know how to hit the cue ball, how to position the pool cue, and how to use the rails for bank shots.

The first skill a player must know to play pool is how to hit the cue ball. Players need to understand how hard to hit the cue ball. People are all the time either hitting it too hard or too soft. When they hit it too hard it may go around the table hitting balls of theirs away from potential shots or it may give the opponent potential shots.
