He was considered one of the most important men during the United State's involvement in World War II not because he was a great athlete, nor because he was a jack of all trades. No, he was recognized as one of the greatest Generals the United States has ever had because of his leadership skills, and most importantly his dependability in tight situations.

George Smith Patton was born on November 11, 1885 in San Gabriel, California, where most of his influence for being a wartime hero came from. Growing up, his dream was to be a hero. Had it not been for his ancestors who fought in previous wars and told stories of their successes, young Patton may have never become such an influential figure.
