There has been a lot of talk about Canadian patriotism lately. Oddly enough, a beer commercial in which Joe Canadian proudly extols the numerous virtues of Canada, in part by renouncing several American misconceptions of our country, spawned the debate:

I am not a lumberjack, or a fur trader; and I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dog sled...Canada is the second largest landmass, the first nation of hockey, and the best part of North America. My name is Joe and I AM CANADIAN! (w.iam)

Canadians experience a surge of pride and patriotism while listening to this advertisement, passionately proclaimed by the infamous "Molson Canadian Joe." Besides the reasons voiced in this "I Am Canadian" rant, Canadians' should be proud because of our beautiful land and abundant natural resources, our cultural diversity and respect among other nations, and our national perks...
