The Influence on Worldviews

Summary: Defines what, specifically, is a worldview. Questions what influences a perception of the world. Provides literary examples in support of the thesis.
The unexplainable, and sometimes unbearable conditions in which some people live their day to day lives greatly affects those from the outside looking in. The present-day situations in Sudan, and the all too common war against terrorism have influenced my opinion of the world. As these conditions continue to worsen as the days past, it really forces you to ponder on your true feelings of humankind as a whole. But, what specifically is a worldview? What influences a perception of the world? In simple terms, a worldview is simply someone's observation of the events and all other contributing factors that may, and most of the time do, concern the world as a whole. In most cases, a view of the world is heavily influenced by someone's personal opinion, and also by outside influences. These two factors greatly stimulate how others see people of the world.
