Summary: Explores if current church leaders are more authoritative than the bible. Assesses what authority the bible gives to church leaders. Describes how priests condense the complexity of faith.
The authority of the Church leaders is given by Christ to serve our spiritual needs. The book of Deuteronomy was the first time that a book, other than a person had been given authority, however before the book was found in the temple church leaders had full authority over the church and had the utmost respect and knowledge of the Bible, of which today in a sense this authority now seems to be shared.

The Bible was written when society was patriarchal (men had more power then women), as Jesus' apostles were men they were the first priests so all church leaders are male to this day and they were the only people educated enough to read it, this made them the key into interpreting the Bible. Also St Peter was the first pope and was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven, this gave him ultimate...
