In 1997 Noel Gallagher was reported to say "taking drugs was like getting up and having a cup of tea in the morning" Two papers had a very different view of the situation, the mirror had a casual but a serious report about Noel, they are `putting Noel on the back' congratulating him for identifying such an important issue for debate, meanwhile the Telegraph is very serious, outraged by Noel, claming he is encouraging youngsters to take drugs. The mirror uses the term "pop genius" to prove that Noel is a star and he knows what he is talking about, also he can relate to his fans. The mirror aim there writing to the younger generation.
