Change is one of literature's most powerful dynamics. The depth of change is created by characterizing the transitioning object. To convey a very deep change, a thorough contrasting characterization must be made, whether it is before, during, or after a change. The beauty and freedom of change is that it is not limited to living, breathing things; it can take many forms in literature.
