Bud Not Buddy is a must read story for all ages. Bud is a ten-year-old boy who lives motherless in a Foster Center during The Great Depression. When Bud heads out to another foster home he takes his suitcase with him. In his suitcase he has memories of his mother. Bud had fliers that his mother cried over that were advertising Herman E. Calloway and his band. Also in the suitcase he kept weird rocks with dates and cities on them, a picture of his mother, and a blanket for his warmth. Also, Bud is the author of a list he made called Bud Caldwell's Rules and Things for Having a Funner Life and Making a Better Liar Out Of Yourself.
