Reflection of April Morning

Summary: Essay provides a short overview of "April Morning."
April Morning is a book which expresses much of the reality of war. I think that it was very well written and shows how hard the Battle of Lexington and Concord was for the New England farmers. I enjoyed reading this book and I am glad that it was a reading assignment because I feel that I learned a lot from it. Although I liked the novel, there were many parts that were a little bit dull. For example, the part right before Adam and Moses are about to meet at the common when they were at home, was too long and it had no real significance to the story. There were too many details in many parts which made the story drag.

My favorite character is Adam because he has many characteristics which I respect. Adam is a very mature, brave man. My favorite part of the book was when Adam faced his father and signs the muster book and he took that chance. I think that it was very brave of him to come before his father after the many disputes they had. I hope that I would act as bravely and maturely as Adam did if I were in his shoes.
