Summary: An explanation of how the Allies became victorious by the end of WWII.
WWII was the most devastating war in human history. It began in 1939 as a European conflict and ended in 1945 as a global conflict. The war had beginning roots as far back as WWI. The three major powers, Germany, Italy, and Japan, were never really satisfied with the final outcome of the first World War. The U.S., France, and Britain were interested in keeping the peace. Hitler had other ideas and started rumblings in Germany. He became the German chancellor, establishing himself a dictator. Japan was busy exercising it's military strength against China. Mussolini established himself in Italy as the first Fascist dictator. Together they formed The Axis Powers, a coalition between Germany, Japan, and Italy. This was the major force the Allies fought against in WWII.
