Inventions During the Industrial Revolution
Summary: This essay describes the different inventions created during the industrial revolution and how they improved the quality of life.
During Britain's Industrial Revolution, many inventions were created to produce more products and lessen the amount of labor to produce them, for example the spinning jenny and the spinning mule. In addition, advances in transportation allowed more importing and exporting of goods from place to place, resulting in more cash flow into the country. New forms of transportation also allowed more mobility for people and faster transport the goods they produce. Because of the advances in production, it improved the quality of life for the English. More people could now get higher paying jobs in the cities instead of having to farm. Greater income enabled more people to buy items that were accessories instead of necessities. This demand required importing and exporting throughout Europe, which meant more money flowing into England and more shipping and transporting of goods.
