It was Spring Break of my freshman year and I knew it was not going to be just a regular Spring break; I was going to San Diego, California to visit my sister Ginny. I was not just going for a vacation. My main objective for that trip was to help my sister teach her 5th grade class. My sister lives in the most southern part of San Diego. almost on the border of Mexico. She has many students whose parents immigrated to the United States to go to school. At that time, I was apprehensive about trying something I had never done before. I was not sure what to expect, but I knew my sister needed my help, so I was willing to try my hardest.
