In today's society, teens are looked upon as people who are unlikely to successfully overcome harsh situations in such a way that their entire lives are changed. However, that is untrue; teens are extremely capable in overcoming life-altering situations.

In many ways, teens are seen as people who don't have any true addictions other than that of too much candy, soda, and internet, and alcohol is not the only other factor. They can also be addicted to drugs-such as marijuana-as well. It's not just the stereotypical outcast that becomes addicted to pot either; it's kids of every kind. Amanda Medina-a 15 year-old former addict from Sebastian, Florida-explains that "...it seems like there are a lot of kids doing pot.
