There he falls deeply in love with a beautiful Courtesan, but her dream of fame already committed her to an English Duke, whose jealousy makes it impossible for the young couple to resist his power.

The staging fits the story perfectly. Even though it is a real movie, the scenery looks like on a stage. It is very detailed and well designed, but not authentic to the real life.
