Summary: Puritans vs. Jamestown and how the two American colonies differed in their morals.
The colonization of the early America by the English did not occur overnight; however, one of the most important turning points in European history allowed to the colonization for the English in the "New World". In 1588, King Phillip II assembled and dispatched The Spanish Armada in hopes to conquer England; nevertheless, an amazing chain of events led to the defeat of the Spanish Armada by the English navy. The Armada's defeat not only helped bring about the subsequent decline of the Spanish Empire; it made English colonization of the Americas possible. The English then colonized at the New England and the Chesapeake regions. These colonies evolved into two distinct societies due to the differing motives of their respective colonists.
