Summary: Commentary on the State of the Union address, January 2003.
I think President Bush had a lot of ideas and suggestions that were reasonable. Usually I'm not a George Bush fan but I think he had a lot of great points. I agreed with him on the tax relief and getting rid of the dividend tax.

The economy is without a doubt at a downfall and needs some encouraging, which is why less taxes is a good idea to encourage economic growth. I understand that the economy grows when Americans have more money to spend and invest. However, I don't believe that when Americans get money they are going to get out and spend it.

Health care and Medicare deserves the 400 billion dollars that President Bush has proposed to spend. Seniors should be able to keep the coverage and HMO's if they please. People should be able to choose their own doctors, and not have to decide to...
