Summary: An overview of skin cancer: its causes, symptoms, and treatments.
Dictionary.com states that skin cancer is a malignant neoplasm of the skin, which means a cancerous abnormal growth or tumor of the skin. There a few forms of skin cancer. I am going to talk about the most common and serious type of skin cancer, Melanoma.

Melanoma affects the skin of a human body. The two causes of melanoma are environment and hereditary. Sunburn and UV light can damage your skin and lead to skin cancer. Most people receive 80% of their lifetime exposure to the sun by 18 years of age. This means that children are very likely to develop this type of cancer. If there is a history of skin cancer in your family, then you have a higher risk of developing it when older.
