Jason and the Argonauts as an Epic Hero

Summary: Describes how Jason from the movie Jason and the Argonauts shows many characteristics of an epic hero.
In the movie Jason and the Argonauts, Jason is the main character.  The movie begins where Jason witnesses his dad, the king, being killed by Paleous, his uncle.  Then Jason is taken away quickly by the king's loyals so that he could live.  Then it fastforwards to when he is an adult, as he hears of his mother's survival, he goes in search of her.  He finds her and Palleous, as they have wedded. He is told  that if he wants his mother to live he must go retreve the golden fleece, and bring it back to him within 6 months.  During his adventure, Jason displays his excellence in skill, strengh and courage, his sucessions in war and adventure, his value of honor and glory, his generousity to his followers, but his ruthlessness to enemys, his choice of action, his acceptance of challenges...
