The Story of the Unfortunate Toad

Summary: My essay is just an example in literature of making up a fantasy story relating to any of the old proverbs.
There was a horrible accident in the world of the toads, which is an underground place not known to any human beings. The king of toads, who was know as the Amphibian King, was the oldest and wisest of the toad colony. His mandate was that his subjects were forbidden to go into the outer world during the hours of daylight. All of the older toads accepted his ruling because they trusted and respected the king's rulings. The younger toads, however, became bored and curious about the outer world.

The younger toads met in a group, and amongst themselves they decided that they felt that the need to know more about the outside world, which was forbidden by the king. The king was being overly cautious. The younger toads thought that they should discover more about the outside world for themselves, despite the king's warnings. Many of them...
