In the movie "Minority Report", we are brought into a new world of technological advances, where by accessing the provisions of three telepathic muses we are able to predict the act of criminal negligence before it is actually committed. As far-fetched as this might sound, it is sadly not too far from our present day legal system. Through the mapping of the human genome, defense lawyers are starting to use inherited genetic tendency as a viable defense to explain the actions of their clients. With these current advances in technology, many questions have been raised regarding our legal system. Should individuals with the genetic propensity to violence be treated against their will before they demonstrate this violent behavior?
