Summary: This essay deals with three of the major problems involved in world overpopulation.
At the current rate of growth, the Earth's population will reach approximately 9 billion people by 2050. Devastating consequences will result from this population explosion because our planet cannot support and sustain that many people geographically, economically, and environmentally.

Many people think that just because a country is large it can support a lot of people. Not only is that a really stupid assumption, it is also the complete opposite for most countries. Take Australia for example. Yeah, its huge, but 75% of the land is inhabitable because of drought, desert, and the various landforms that take up the central part of this country. Most of the people live in 2 narrow strips on the western and southeastern coastlines. Australia is not the only country like this, however, China, Russia, India, the Phillipines, and Indonesia are just a few of the many countries in the world with this same problem. They have...
