Summary: Essay discusses if the characters King and Daisy Duk are good parents.
Parents should display certain characteristics that are the key pieces in becoming a good parent. Of course there are the basic physical needs that a child needs, such as food, shelter, and medicine, but that is a small part of parenting when compared to the emotional needs that the child has. For example, the parent needs to reflect positive morals onto the child through their actions, and they need to show interest in the child's interests. If the parents do not show any interest in the child's interests then the child will most likely not be interested in anything. Another important aspect of a good parent is that they know how their child spends his/her free time. When one compares Daisy and King Duk to these criterions they should come to the conclusion that Daisy and King are reasonably good parents.
