In the essays "The letter "A" by Brown and "The View From 80" by Malcolm Cowley. Even though we depend on the mind for interaction Brown and Cowley demonstrates how one over comes physical difficulties for communication.

The mind and the body are distinct, depending on each other to promote language, spoken or symbolic. The mind is strictly thoughts while the body is unable to function.
