Summary: This paper compares the Spanish Baroque style of Franciso de Goya and Eva Gonzales. It compares Majas on a Balcony and a Box at the Theatre Des Italiens.
Throughout the history of art, artists have been influencing one another. The appearance of art changes when one person takes an idea, and adds a slight twist to it. However, the evolution of art is usually a slow task that happens over periods as short as 100 years to as long as 1000 years depending on how quickly people can influence each other. In the case of the Spanish Baroque style, in the course of 150 years, we can see some evolution by first looking at the artwork of Francisco de Goya, and that of Eva Gonzalès.

Francisco de Goya was born in northern Spain on March 30, 1746. At the age of 14 Goya apprenticed a local painter named José Luzcan. Goya would eventually go to study in Italy. Despite the fact that Goya studied in Italy, he was greatly influenced by the Spaniard, Diego Velázquez and his royal collection. The...
