The book Night, by Elie Wiesel, was a true story about the Jewish people and how they were killed at the concentration camps. Wiesel also told about the yellow stars that were put on every Jew to show the guards that they were Jewish prisoners of the death camps run by Hitler's rule.

The Star of David represents a symbol of the Jewish religion. There are two triangles put together to form a star with 6 sharp edges. The triangles represent the combination of the heavens and the Earth. The Star of David can be seen in Jewish temples and also on the Israeli flag.

As you can see, the Star of David is not only a yellow star, but a symbol of the Jewish beliefs. During the period of World War 2, the Star of David was put on the arms of Jews in Europe and the middle east, to show the guards that they were Jewish.
