2 No mortal can with him compare
Among the sons of men;
Fairer is he, than all the fair
Who fill the heavenly train.
3 He saw me plunged in deep distress,
And flew to my relief;
For me he bore the shameful cross,
And carried all my grief.
4 To heaven, the place of his abode,
He brings my weary feet;
Shows me the glories of my God,
And makes my joys complete.

Christ Jesus, All in All. (591)
I’ve found the pearl of greatest price!
My heart doth sing for joy;
And sing I must, for Christ is mine!
Christ shall my song employ.
2 Christ is my Prophet, Priest, and King;
My Prophet full of light,
My great High Priest before the throne,
My King of heavenly might.
3 Christ is my peace; he died for me,
For me he gave his blood;
And, as my wondrous Sacrifice,
Offered himself to God.
4 Christ Jesus is my All in All,—
My Comfort, and my Love;
My Life below, and he shall be
My Joy and Crown above.

Invitation to Praise the Redeemer. (588)
Oh, for a thousand tongues, to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of his grace.
2 My gracious Master, and my God,
Assist me to proclaim—
To spread, through all the earth abroad,
The honors of thy name.
3 Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
That bids our sorrows cease;
’Tis music in the sinner’s ears,
’Tis life, and health, and peace.
4 He breaks the power of canceled sin,
He sets the pris’ner free:
His blood can make the foulest clean—
His blood availed for me.
5 He speaks—and, list’ning to his
voice
New life the dead receive;
The mournful, broken hearts rejoice,
The humble poor believe.
6 Hear him, ye deaf; his praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Savior come;
And leap, ye lame, for joy.
Charles Wesley, 1740.

Praise to Christ. (596)
Come, let us all unite to praise
The Savior of mankind;
Our thankful hearts in solemn lays
Be with our voices joined.
2 O Lord! we cannot silent be;
By love we are constrained
To offer our best thanks to thee,
Our Savior, and our Friend.
3 Let every tongue thy goodness show,
And spread abroad thy fame;
Let every heart with praise o’erflow,
And bless thy sacred name.
4 Worship and honor, thanks and love,
Be to our Jesus given,
By men below, by hosts above,
By all in earth and heaven.
