Novelist and journalist Bebe Moore Campbell is an African American writer known for her courageous critiques of contemporary society. A contributing editor for Essence magazine and a commentator for National Public Radio (NPR), she has published nearly one hundred articles, not only in Essence but also in Black Enterprise, Ms., Seventeen, Parents, and various newspapers, including The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the Detroit Free Press.
