Superstar leftfielder Barry Bonds is the only player to win the National League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award three times. He won the MVP honors in 1990 and 1992 as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates and again in 1993 as a San Francisco Giant. During his career Bonds has finally proved that he is the best player in his family, surpassing the achievements of his father Bobby, the former all-star outfielder.

Barry Bonds was born July 24, 1964, in Riverside, California. He is the oldest son of baseball star Bobby Bonds and the godson of superstar Willie Mays. While other boys could only watch from the stands, Bonds would chase fly balls with his dad and Mays.
