Everything you need to understand or teach Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy.
Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy tells the story of Rowan, a woman who washes up on a remote island where scientists have recently abandoned a research base due to rising sea levels. The island is now occupied only by its caretaker Dom and his three children, Raff, Fen, and Orly, who take care of Rowan in the aftermath of her shipwreck but are clearly hiding something from her. Likewise, Rowan is hiding her true reasons for being on the island. As Rowan becomes increasingly emotionally intertwined with Dom and his family, the real motivations of the characters are gradually revealed and begin to threaten their growing relationship. It deals with themes of climate change, motherhood, and grief.
