Thirteen Ways of Looking Overview

Thirteen Ways of Looking is a short story collection by Colum McCann. The majority of the book consists of the titular "Thirteen Ways of Looking" about a retired New York judge and his murder. Also included in the work are: "What Time is it Now, Where You Are?" a meta-narrative about a soldier in a New Year's Eve short story and the writer who creates her; "Sh'Khol" a story about Rebecca and her missing deaf son, Tomas; and "Treaty," a story about a nun and the horrors of her captivity in South America.
