The Woman in the Window: A Novel Overview

In A. J. Finn's debut thriller The Woman in the Window, narrator and severe agoraphobe Anna Fox watches as the woman who is her new neighbor is stabbed in what appears to be a family argument. Anna reports the stabbing but the police arrive to find nothing is wrong in the house across the street. Instead, the police accuse Anna of hallucinating the whole incident. When Anna finds proof she is not crazy, she begins to learn things are not as they seem in the house across the street. Themes in the novel include the danger of assumptions, the use of the internet as a portal to the world, and the way life mimics art.
