The Mysteries of Mrs. Christie Overview
Marie Benedict’s novel The Mysteries of Mrs Christie tells two stories at once. The first would be the story of Agatha’s marriage to Archie Christie. The second plot line describes Archie’s life during Agatha’s eleven-day disappearance. Half the novel is told through Agatha’s first-person narration while the other half uses a third-person limited narrator to tell Archie’s point of view. The novel takes place in England, from the year 1912 to 1926. Benedict tackles, among others, themes of fate, love, and family.
