“Tam Lin Remembers the Faerie Queen” is a fantastical poem by American poet Theodora Goss, which first appeared in Enchanted Living (formerly Faerie Magazine) in 2021. It is a response to the traditional ballad of Tam Lin, in which a man is taken away by a fairy queen and eventually rescued by his lover. In this poem, Tam Lin has emerged from his trial and gone on to live an ordinary human existence. However, he is haunted by memories of the more extraordinary life he once had.
