"Questions of Travel" is a free verse travel poem by American poet Elizabeth Bishop. Originally published in her 1965 collection of the same name, "Questions of Travel" concerns the speaker's ethical and personal considerations on her journey abroad. After the speaker recounts several observations, she ultimately poses the question of whether it would have been better to remain at home in the first place.
