Our Souls at Night is the story of the widower Louis Waters and the widow Addie Moore who, in their 70’s, begin sleeping in the same bed to combat the loneliness of their situation. Each night, they lie next to each other in Addie’s bed and recount the painful, joyous, and mundane parts of their lives to each other. As they share their pasts, they fall in love with each other and ignore the small town gossips of Holt County.
