"November" is a contemporary terza rima poem by American author and editor Maggie Dietz. Originally published in her 2016 collection That Kind of Happy, "November" examines how the cusp of winter impacts internal and external realities. All the animals in the poem, including humans, respond to the changing light, temperature, and atmosphere. Dietz uses vivid sensory imagery to portray the onset of winter as a time for introspection.
