No Man's Land (play) Overview

No Man’s Land is a play by Harold Pinter. It features a wealthy elderly man named Hirst who is visited in his home by a shabbily dressed elderly man named Spooner. It is unclear throughout whether or how the two men know each other. They are interrupted and attended upon by Hirst’s two staff members, the younger Briggs and Foster, who ostensibly take care of Hirst while exuding an air of menace, especially towards Spooner. It deals with themes of memory, identity, and liminal space.
