"Leg" is an eleven-stanza narrative poem by American poet Danusha Laméris. Originally published in the Spring 2021 issue of The Southern Review, "Leg" chronicles the speaker finding a half-eaten deer leg while on a walk with her friend. This encounter prompts the speaker's meditations on sisterhood (which encompass various types of kinship) and mortality.
