Jordan (I) is a poem by George Herbert, one of several named for the river Jordan. It was published in Herbert's posthumous collection, The Temple: Sacred poems and Private Ejaculations. The book was first printed in Cambridge by printers Buck and Daniel in 1633. The poem reflects on the relationship between poetry and divine worship.
