"In my craft or sullen art" is an ars poetica by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. An ars poetica is a meditation on poetry in which a writer articulates perspectives on subject matter, craft, composition, and intention. Originally published in his 1946 collection Deaths and Entrances, "In my craft or sullen art" deals with the speaker's poetic focus and the distance he feels between himself and the lovers that he writes for.
