“At the Crossroads, Highways 61 and 49” is a lyric poem by American poet J. Patrick Lewis. It first appeared in Lewis’s book Black Cat Bone, which used the poet’s original work alongside lyrics by early 20th-century blues musician Robert Johnson in order to tell the story of Johnson's life. The poem is told in a single stanza of 40 lines and explores the mythical crossroads of the blues tradition.
