Amerika: The Missing Person Overview

Amerika is an unfinished novel by Franz Kafka. The story follows Karl Rossmann, a 16-year-old boy from Prague, after he is forcibly sent to America by his parents. In America, he faces a series of tribulations as he attempts to establish a stable life for himself. In every situation, the people around him inevitably turn against him, and Karl is repeatedly displaced to search for a new way of life. The novel explores themes of isolation, injustice, work, and hypocrisy.
