Yasunari Iwata (岩田康誠:born March 12, 1974; from Hyōgo Prefecture) is a Japanese jockey who rode the winner of the 2006 Melbourne Cup. He won the race on the back of Delta Blues. It was Iwata's first race outside of Japan. In 2005, Iwata won the 19th World Super Jockey Series[1][2].
