X is the fourth solo album by singer songwriter Kristeen Young. This album is a return to Young's more basic, St. Louis style of aggressive piano, drums and bass backing, a no-frills production. It's based on the 10 commandments. Each song addresses a different commandment, but with an argument as to why it is a good idea to break that commandment...ie. "Lie" is about why it's a good idea, or even fun, to lie. [1] The album was produced by Tony Visconti and engineered by Mario McNulty at Studio B, Looking Glass Studios. It features "Baby" Jeff White on drums, David Matos on guitar and a duet with Placebo's Brian Molko on No Other God. Molko's vocals were recorded in London.
