William D. Dyke was a two-termed mayor of Madison, Wisconsin in the 1970s. A Conservative Republican, he briefly left the party in 1976 to run as Lester Maddox's running mate on the American Independent Party ticket. He is currently a local judge in the state of Wisconsin.
