IMDb profile

Wicked is a 1998 movie starring Julia Stiles. Stiles plays Ellie, a bratty teenager who hates her sex-crazed mother (Chelsea Field) but starts to emulate her after Ma's homicide-by-tragedy mask. Wicked debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 1998. It was shelved until Stiles' recent career ascendancy and rereleased on video in 2001.

Plot

Wicked's main plot revoles around a highly dysfunctional family in American Suburbia. The mother is mysteriously murdered one morning, and there are a variety of suspects investigated by a detective played by Michael Parks. However, as the father's oldest daughter (Julia Stiles) begins to reveal the true depth of her obsession with her father by gradually seeking to replace her deceased mother, the murder becomes somewhat of a sideshow. Tagline: Evil Never Looked So Good.
