The White Lightning was the fastest electric car, capable of speeds up to 400 km/h. It was built by Dempsey's World Record Associates (DWRA) and has been driven to record speeds by Pat Rummerfield, also known as the only fully-recovered quadriplegic in the world (2000). In October 2003, its record was surpassed by the Buckeye Bullet, and again in October 2004, making the electric record 315.958 mph (508.485 km/h).
