Weber is a hamlet situated 33km from Dannevirke and 35 Km from Herbertville, on the east coast of New Zealand. It was founded the late 19th century as an overnight stop for coach and teams on the journey to and from the coast. This was the distance a team of 6 horses and a coach could travel in one day. Today it consists of a church, a school, a pub, a rural fire depo, a community centre and serveral houses. Weber is just off the SH 52, a senic tourist route between Waipukurau and Eketahuna; the SH52 runs past the world's longest place name, Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu
