Walking the Dog (1937) a musical number written by George Gershwin for the Astaire - Rogers film Shall We Dance. Originally a piece for piano, then orchestrated with a part for the clarinet. In the film, the music is for a sequence of walking a dog onboard a luxury liner. In 1960, the piece was published as "Promenade".
